1. Able to withstand larger loads, suitable for roughing machine tools with large tool volumes and large feeds.

2. Because the contact area of ​​the guide rail is large, the machine tool runs more smoothly, which is suitable for machine tools with high vibration requirements, such as grinding machines.

Disadvantages of hard rail:

1. The material is not uniform. Because it is generally cast and formed, casting defects such as sand inclusions, pores, and looseness are easy to occur in the material. If these defects exist on the guide surface, it will adversely affect the service life of the guide and the accuracy of the machine tool.

2. It is difficult to process, because this type of guide rail is generally integrated with the main components of the machine tool such as the base, column, table, slide saddle, etc., during the processing, its shape and position tolerances, roughness requirements, timeliness Processing, quenching and other processes are difficult to control, resulting in the processing quality of the parts can not meet the requirements of assembly.

3. It is difficult to assemble. The word "assembly" means that both installation and matching are required, and the matching process is a process of combining technology and physical strength. It cannot be completed by ordinary workers. It requires the relative number of technologies. The machine tool can be completed only by the assembly workers who have a good grasp of the overall accuracy. At the same time, it needs to be equipped with a shovel, a square ruler, a square ruler, a square ruler, a dial indicator, and a dial indicator.

4. The service life is not long. This can only be relatively speaking. That is to say, the accuracy of the wire rail and the screw itself determines the accuracy of the machine. They all exist in the form of standard parts. As long as you choose the corresponding accuracy provided by the manufacturer, there will usually not be a big problem.

2. There is a lot of choice, whether it is from the structural form or accuracy level of the rail, the lubrication method or load bearing capacity, the processing method to the running speed and other parameters can be selected. You can arbitrarily configure according to the specific conditions of your designed machine The type of rail you need.

3. The running speed is fast. Many machine tools now run extremely fast, especially the idling speed. This is largely due to the credit of the linear guide, because the rolling friction operation mode and high-precision processing ensure the machine tool. The accuracy and stability of high-speed operation has greatly improved the processing efficiency and processing accuracy.

4. High machining accuracy. As a linear guide, as a standard product, both the material and the processing method have entered a benign controllable range. Therefore, most of the machine tools in the field of precision machining use high-precision linear guides. 6. Low maintenance cost. 2. The stability is relatively weaker than the hard rail, such as the ability to resist vibration, but I still want to emphasize that this weakness is relative to the hard rail. In fact, the smoothness of many line rails is also now Very well, as long as the equipment you design is not too special, it is generally able to meet the needs.

3. Pay special attention to the protection of the rails during transportation and assembly. As a standard part, its unique structural characteristics put it in an embarrassing situation that is relatively easy to be damaged, such as the slender shape leading to the rails. Insufficient rigidity, which is prone to bending and deformation during compression, leading to loss of accuracy; for example, because it is steel, if it is not rust-proofed, it is easy to contact water or other solvents during transportation and assembly. Phenomenon such as rust and corrosion can be caused, which leads to loss of accuracy.
